Fireese´s mum is a teacher, since she was four months, Fireese has been exposed to sign language, she has been able to communicate with her mum since she was only 11 months, in the same way, mum taught her sounds in English and she is now able to blend words when she is only 2! Children around the world learn to read when they are about 5 years old, if this method works for such a young child, it will definitely work for your ESL learners.
